Materials Science and Technology (MS&T) is an annual technical meeting and exhibition held in North America. This conference, supported by ACers, AIST, ASM, TMS, it is organized to bring scientists, engineers, students, and suppliers together and start a discussion about current advancements in the field, both in research and technology. In attending this conference, Material Advantage's goal was to play a role in the current happenings of materials science and include RPI in this discussion.

MS&T 2017
Materials Science and Technology 2017 will take place in Pittsburg, PA. Next year, Material Advantage (MA) hopes to send 15 RPI representatives to the conference. With this greater attendance, students will involve themselves with contests throughout MS&T. Specifically, MA plans to return to the ASM Geodesic Dome Design Competition and modify its dome design to earn a standing in one of the top three positions. In addition, ​MA will increase participation in Undergraduate Student Speaking and Poster Contests as well as in the Mug Drop and Ceramic Disk Contests.
